I thought I would add a few pictures of what we were getting up to before we closed. Here are some pictures of us painting our aliens, completing our sports circuit, a drama lesson where we pretended to be pirates, weaving, learning to tell the time and drawing a pirate. Enjoy!!

I love the pirate one!!

World Book Day

Year 1 and 2 enjoyed wearing pyjamas and bringing in their favourite book. We paired up with Year 2 and shared our books together.

Both classes were excited to receive their new books which we are going to read over the next few weeks and vote for our favourite.

Spring 1

Year 1 have had a lovely time this half term learning all about space and aliens. The children have done some amazing writing this term. They have written their own version of 'We're going on a bear hunt' and changed it into 'We're going on an alien hunt'. They have also written their own alien poems using rhyme. The children really enjoyed making their own clay alien. They are waiting to go into the kiln so we can paint them after half term. The children have been really enthusiastic about this topic, which has been lovely to see. Take a look at some of the activities we have been up to.

Autumn 2

We had an amazing day at Portland Basin Museum. The children had a great time learning about homes and school life in the Victorian era. The children learnt so much from Miss Violet and we pretty much had the museum to ourselves. Have a look at some of our pictures.

Autumn 1

This week we have been looking at place value. The children were all given a number and they had to get themselves into order from 1-30.
