Welcome

Welcome to Ladybrook Primary School and Nursery.

I am very proud to be the headteacher of Ladybrook Primary School and I hope that navigating around our website will give you a flavour of what makes our school a very special learning community, where children really matter.

Parents, governors and staff share a vision to provide learning without limits for all our children. This vision, which is at the core of everything we do, is summarised in our aspirations to enable all of our young people to develop the essential values, skills, knowledge and attributes to become:

  • Successful learners

  • Confident individuals

  • Responsible citizens

We want our children to be life-long, motivated and successful learners so we provide a rich, challenging and exciting learning journey from Nursery to Year 6 which ensures progress. This has been carefully curated by our own staff using the National Curriculum and knowledge of our community. When children start school, they are curious and inquisitive about the world in which they live. We harness this natural enthusiasm for learning and then provide them with the knowledge, skills and understanding to achieve  through creative and dynamic learning opportunities in an enabling environment.

In our passion to nurture the “whole” child, we encourage all pupils to become confident individuals. We are committed to equipping children with the personal skills, attitudes and values to become responsible citizens, who through a range of cultural challenges, equally make a contribution to their local and wider communities.

Inclusion is important to us and all children attending our school need to belong. Inclusion is more than just being under the same roof. Some children will need lifelong support, others may need it intermittently - at our school whatever your child’s needs, our ambitions for them remain unashamedly high. Quality professional development means that your child’s learning experiences and environment will support them to achieve.

At our school, parents matter, too! We believe that your involvement is central to your child’s success. We really hope that you will join us in this vital partnership which makes our school such a special place. Our family ethos, which is inclusive of all children, is what gives the school its “heart” and makes it a unique and remarkable place to learn.
