World Book Day 2021

Yesterday we enjoyed celebrating World Book Day. Have a look through the photographs to see what we got up to...

The wonderful weekly work for weeks 6-8 has been shared on Google Stream - I hope you enjoyed listening to the poetry about polar animals.

Wonderful Weekly Work week 5

Another fantastic week of work - well done Year 2. In literacy we corrected my spelling and punctuation errors that I made in version 2 of our story. In maths we completed our multiplication and division unit of learning. In history we compared clothing explorers from the past and present wore of their expeditions. In PSHE we continued with our feelings work...

Wonderful Weekly Work Week 4

There was some fabulous work completed this week. We carried out an experiment to find out if salt, sugar or flour could melt our toys that had become trapped in ice. We explored timelines and found out about Robert Falcon Scott's expedition to the South Pole. We wrote story maps about The Elves and the Shoemaker and retold the story to our family. Can you spot your work?

Wonderful weekly work week 3

Another week of fabulous work.... see if you can spot yours.

Wonderful Weekly Work week 2

Well done Year 2 for producing such wonderful work again this week.

Wonderful Weekly Work

I have been delighted with your work this week Year 2. These are just a few photographs of your fantastic learning. Well done everyone.

We've had a very busy and exciting week in Year 2 this week. I think the highlight for everyone was bread making and then bread eating! The children worked very well in their groups helping each other weigh, measure, pour, stir and knead. We are going to write instructions next week about how to make bread.

Yesterday it was our turn to be superheroes and the children loved dressing up as their favourite one. It was a great way to end the half term. Have a lovely holiday everyone!

Yesterday 3 Super Heroes visited Ladybrook. We all enjoyed watching Spiderman climb over the MUGA and chatted to Batman and Wonder Woman.

A fantastic amount was raised was Chelwood Foodbank - thank you all!
