Visit to the Chill Factore and Rock Up
Year 2 enjoyed a fabulous day at the Chill Factore and Rock Up. Linked to our Antarctica topic, we experienced the freezing cold to do a range of activities. We whizzed down the snow on sledges, spun down the slopes on donuts and flew down the slide. Absolutely fantastic!
We also went to Rock Up and used many different climbing walls to challenge ourselves - both physically and mentally.

Using a Compass
We have been finding out about position and direction. We have looked at compass points and found North, South, East and West on a compass. With Year 5 we found where the different points are and what we could see to the North, South, East and West of the playground.
World Book Day
This week we have celebrated World Book Day. The children had to dress as an adjective. I wonder if you can guess what they are?

Visit to Staircase House
Last week we enjoyed a fabulous visit to Staircase House where we re-enacted the story of the Great Fire Of London. The children took on the roles of different characters and impressed us all with their knowledge and acting.

Walk into Bramhall
This week we enjoyed walking into Bramhall village. To support our geography, we followed the route on a map noting places of interest.
We also planned the setting for our story based on Katie in London. Our version is going to be set in Bramhall.
