This week the children designed their own crowns to wear for our coronation celebration before the coronation of King Charles III this Saturday 6th May. Here is Year 3 modelling their crowns wearing their red, white and blue.
This week year 3 took a trip to Chester or Deva as the Romans called it to find out abut what life was like in Roman times. The dressed up as Roman soldiers and marched through Chester to the amphitheater where they practised Roman shield formations. They then spent some time looking at Roman artefacts in the museum galleries. After lunch they took part in a Roman workshop and learned about what the Roman soldiers would have worn. We had a great day learning about life in Roman Times.
This week Year 3 had a very exciting visit from the Birds of Prey Centre. This was a visit that should have happened last year but because of the heatwave the birds were not able to visit us.
During the visit Year 3 got to meet two owls, a ferret, a hawk, a red legged seriema and a vulture. See if you can spot the different birds below.
