Monday 22nd June 2020Reading: 20-30 minutes to yourself of The Ickabog Chapter 5 and 6 - In your blue book, use point, evidence, explain to answer each of the following questions:

Maths: IMPORTANT: We won’t be using the maths booklets in school this week so you have to use your days at home / keyworker time to complete them. If you are at home / keyworker Maths booklet - 40 / 45 minutes. You can find your maths booklet in Google classroom. If you are in school: we will be doing some problem solving / reasoning. Topic: Some amazing work submitted last week about the history of Bramhall- I was really impressed! Well done. If you are home-learning / keyworker today: I would like you to interview an older member of your family / neighbour about their lives. You will have Monday / Tuesday / Wednesday to complete this task. There is an interview sheet that you can use in Google Classroom. Type straight onto it. It will save automatically in your drive each time you revisit it. There are a lot of questions so you might want to break the interview up over a few days. We will be using this in our writing next week when we write biographies. If you are in school today, we will be editing and improving our writing and then printing to go into our topic books before starting some historical biography work. Wednesday 24th June 2020Reading: The Ickabog Chapter 9 We hear of The Ickabog in this chapter! Read the chapter and summarise how the farmer ‘’lost’’ his dog. Spellings: Ask a grown up to test you on last week’s spellings. Write out a sentence for your new spellings to show that you understand the meaning. Punctuation and grammar should be spot on! New spelling list in Google Classroom Maths: We won’t be using the maths booklets in school this week so you have to use your days at home to complete them. Maths booklet - 40 / 45 minutes. (If you were at home on Monday and Tuesday, continue with your booklet. If you were in school Monday / Tuesday start your booklet - it is in Google Classroom) Topic: If you were home learning/ key worker on Monday and Tuesday, today is the last day to complete your interview. Hand in your notes. If you have already been in school this week, please start your interview - You will have Wednesday / Thursday / Friday to complete this task.
