Wednesday 10th June 2020 Time to think: Find a fun way to be active either inside or outside. Today is your first day of learning for the week. You will notice we now set the tasks out differently. I have attached links to websites in a slightly different way. Please let me know if you struggle to open them. Other resources I attach will appear below as normal. Spellings: Your new spelling test day is now a Wednesday. Please ask a grown up to test you on list 29. Your new spellings are: Stage 1 how brown down town frown own blow snow grow show Stage 2 careful playful thankful helpful wonderful useless careless hopeless homeless spotless Please write your new spellings out in sentences in your yellow spelling book. Did you know this week is National Bike Week? I have been cycling more over the past few months than I have in years - I know lots of you have too. Some of the tasks I have set have this as a theme. I hope you enjoy doing them. Maths: I have attached 3 problem solving activities linked to cycling. Just like we practised before half term, read each question carefully and decide how it can be solved. You may like to draw pictures to help you. Science Today and tomorrow I would like you to find out about food chains. Please watch this Bitesize video and then this Bitesize video and complete the activities. Test your knowledge and play this game. Can you have a go at writing your own food chain? Use the worksheet I have attached or write them into your home learning book. Thursday 11th June 2020 Time to think: Find the joy of music today - sing, dance, play or listen. Reading: Comprehension I have attached a bronze, silver or gold reading activity all about cycling - Around the world in 80 days.. Please choose one to complete. Maths: Today’s activity is linked once again to cycling and is a data handling activity. Read the information carefully and complete the tally chart. You then need to put the information onto the pictogram by drawing 1 picture of the food to represent each piece of food that was eaten. There are then questions to answer. Science - continue with the work started yesterday. Please upload this into Google Classroom. I have also attached the worksheet in there. Please choose one to complete Maths: As it is Friday, please ask a grown up to test you on your number bonds or times tables. I have attached the resources once again for you to use. Please let me know if your child needs moving up on TTRS. Enrichment: Today you should have been starting French this afternoon.
