Tuesday 30th June 2020 Reading: 15-20 minutes to yourself - did you find any new words that you did not understand? Can you choose 3 new words if you found them and find out what they mean? Grammar: Today and Thursday we will be looking at different conjunctions, use the link to the BBC Bitesize lesson here. There are activities related to the lesson in Google classroom. Not everyone has the same weather. Some countries are extremely hot or extremely cold. Do you know why? See what you can find out about different climates. Have you experienced all of the different climates? Fill in the editable sheet in Google Docs using what you found out. Wednesday 1st July 2020 Reading: 15-20 minutes to yourself, ask a parent to ask you five questions that really make you think. Have a look at our class plastic pollution stories. Don’t forget to leave your feedback for your friends. Spellings: Ask a grown up to test you. Write out a sentence for your new spellings. Friday 3rd July 2020 Reading: Read aloud to someone in your household for 10-15 minutes. Before you start, tell them about your book and what it is about. When you have finished see if you can ask them some questions about your reading to check they have been listening closely! Literacy; Book review - I am curious what you have all been reading while you have been working at home. In year 6 we have been reading the Ickabog.
